Summary :

Housekeeper needed for a sorority house on campus at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Will maintain the cleanliness of the public areas of the house, including all bathrooms, dining rooms, snack kitchen, and stairwells.

Specific duties as follows :

• Cleaning / scouring sinks, mirrors, toilets, registers, and tubs / showers.
• Trash removal.
• Mopping all ceramic floors.
• Machine wash bathroom rugs and throws as needed.
• Sweep and mop snack kitchen daily.
• Vacuum carpeted hallways on nd and rd floor as needed.
• Sweep and / or mop laundry rooms as needed.
• Polish coffee maker and make sure ice maker and microwave are clean on a daily basis.
• Sweep all stairwells, ensuring that floors and steps are free of debris.
• Assist the housing director in maintaining order and stock in the supply closet and keep them apprised of any malfunctioning plumbing equipment in bathrooms / kitchen, lighting fixtures or similar that might need outside maintenance or repair.
• Help to enforce all house rules and promote a safe and educational space for all residents.
• Special projects and seasonal cleaning needs when residents are not on campus.

This is a direct-hire (permanent), full-time role, hiring immediately. The schedule will vary, but will mostly be weekdays, daytime. Starting pay is $ per hour.

Qualifications :

• At least one year of relevant experience.
• Must be dependable and have strong attention to detail.
• Must be physically comfortable with some heavy lifting of supplies / equipment and be able to squat, bend, and kneel. Will have to climb flights of stairs to accomplish tasks.
• An offer of employment will be contingent upon acceptable findings on a BCI / FBI check.
